IB Skills Summary Report

Twice per year, IB students will receive a supplemental IB Skills Summary Report. This report shows your child's progression through the IB program. It will NOT replace the COCSD report card; it's just an additional assessment tool based on the Learner Profile and IB Attitudes. If you have questions please email the IB Coordinator at aromero@cocsd.k12.az.us.

International Baccalaureate Candidate School Now Registering Students for the 2013-2014 School Year!
Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District is proud to announce the addition of eighth grade to Mountain View Preparatory, a K-8 candidate International Baccalaureate school, starting August 2013.  

The International Baccalaureate program offers a comprehensive approach to teaching with a commitment to high-quality, challenging and international education in six principle subject areas: language, social studies, mathematics, science and technology, the arts, social and physical education.

Reasons to consider an IB Program for our child:
  • Rigorous and comprehensive education based on global perspectives and Arizona State Standards

Nevada governor candidate Brian Sandoval lauds IB, pledges taxation equalization

March 10, 2010 – Republican gubernatorial candidate Brian Sandoval is in favor of international Baccalaureate programs in Incline’s public schools. Sandoval was a U.S. District Court Judge before he resigned his lifetime appointment to run for Governor of Nevada.

“I understand that school districts have had to curb spending, but I support districts that are continuing to look at ways to improve their schools,” Sandoval said.

With the growth to MVP, the COCSD Governing Board will be looking into the possiblities for the location of Mt. View Preparatory for the next school year in January.
